Request a Traffic Crash Report

Step 1.Check your eligibility

• You must be the driver, or named on the report as a person involved in the crash.
• The crash must have happened since 2011.
• The crash must have happened in the City of Orlando.

For crash reports before 2011, use our online service to request a public record from the Orlando Police Department (OPD):

For crash reports before 2002, contact the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. 

Step 2.Important:

It takes 3-5 business days after a crash for the report to be available online. 

Step 3.Gather your information

You will need:

• Case number
• Date of crash
• Driver’s name
• Credit or debit card for a $10 payment

Step 4.Request your crash report

Use our online service, LexisNexis Police Reports, to request your crash report. It will cost $10 for each report. A driver’s exchange report for a minor accident is free.
