10 a.m. – Commercial and Multifamily Recycling Workshop
Orlando City Hall, Veterans Conference Room

The City of Orlando is doubling down on its recycling efforts by expanding the city’s program to include multifamily and commercial development, giving residents who live in multifamily housing and people who work in office buildings the opportunity to recycle.

On Wednesday, the city will host its first Commercial and Multifamily Family Recycling Workshop to provide guidance to property managers as they work to come into compliance with the city’s Commercial and Multifamily Family Recycling ordinance. City staff will provide attendees with an overview of the ordinance and its requirements, answer questions and guide property managers through the process of implementing on site recycling.

Solid Waste Division Manager Mike Carroll will be available for interviews to discuss the implementation of the city’s mandatory recycling ordinance and how it will help Orlando reach the city’s goal of becoming a zero waste community by 2040.
