Downtown Gap Study
The goal of the Downtown Gap Study is to identify a preferred route within the Central Business and South Eola Districts for a bicycle facility that will connect Gertrude’s Walk to the planned Downtown Connector Trail, completing a critical portion of Orlando’s Bicycle Beltway project.
The recommended alignment for the proposed cycle track will extend east from Gertrude’s Walk at Pine Street to Eola Drive, south to South Street, east to Summerlin Avenue and south to Anderson Street where it will connect with the Downtown Connector Trail.
Next steps will be to complete engineering design plans for the proposed cycle track.
Funding for this portion of the beltway will come from the city's Neighborhood Improvement Bond.
