Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan Unveil New Swan Boat Dock at Lake Eola Park
Visual updates to the flock of swan boats will also be unveiled at event
On Friday, April 15, 2022, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan will reopen the upgraded swan boat dock at Lake Eola Park.
As an effort to provide quality amenities at city parks, the new swan boat dock was reconstructed to accommodate the newly expanded swan boat fleet and updated with modern materials and flotation devices.
Also at the event, upgrades to the flock of swan boats will be unveiled. During the dock construction, while the swan boats were out of service, the City Parks team painted select ones to visually reflect the different swan breeds found at the park.
Lake Eola is home to more than 50 swans representing five different breeds:
Black Neck swans
Royal Mute swans
Australian Black swans
