Ring in the Holidays with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer at the City of Orlando’s 11th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Central Florida residents and visitors to ring in the holiday season at the City of Orlando’s 11th annual Tree Lighting Celebration.

The highlight of this free event is the lighting of the city’s 72-foot Christmas tree at Lake Eola Park’s Washington Plaza. Attendees will help countdown to the lighting of the tree’s 160,000 animated LED lights and the 15-minute Eola Wonderland Christmas tree show where the tree will come alive to a synchronized light-and-music show with the Lake Eola fountain.

Entertainment will include holiday performances at the Walt Disney Amphitheater from the Trinity Lutheran School Choir and the Orlando Concert Band. The event will also feature vendor booths, photos with Santa from 6-8 p.m. and The Daily City’s Food Truck Bazaar serving delicious food and drinks for purchase.

The Salvation Army will have their red kettles at the event, with a brand new option to make a donation using your credit or debit card. They will also accept traditional cash donations.
