July 14, 2016 – ORLANDO, FL – Today, Kenneth R. Feinberg, Administrator of OneOrlando Fund, released a draft Protocol that outlines the proposed process for the distribution of the OneOrlando funds directly to victims’ families and survivors.
In addition to feedback from, Equality Florida and the National Center for Victims of Crime/National Compassion Fund, the OneOrlando Fund Board is encouraging input from victims’ families and survivors of the Pulse tragedy and the Orlando community. Two town hall meetings will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at the Amway Center to get feedback from the public. A copy of the draft protocol is available at OneOrlando.org.
The following are the next steps for the process, based on the draft Protocol, to ensure these funds are distributed as quickly as possible:
For Immediate Assistance:
The City is meeting the immediate needs of those impacted by the Pulse tragedy through the Orlando United Assistance Center (OUAC).
