Submit a redistricting map

Would you like to create your own redistricting plan?

Map submission is now closed.

Use the same data and tools as the City of Orlando to create your own map of our six districts.

Keep in mind: Maps must be submitted by Monday, May 2, 2022 at 5 p.m. EST and meet certain legal criteria in order to be considered by the board.

Step 1.Familiarize yourself with the requirements for making a redistricting plan

Your plan needs to include a map of all six districts and meet the following criteria:

  • Total population for a district isn't more or less than 10% of any other district's population.
  • District borders are as compact as possible
  • Districts borders must be contiguous
  • No one political party is favored or disfavored in any district
  • District borders are drawn along streets and natural boundaries
  • Neighborhoods are kept together, when possible, within a district
  • Communities of interest are kept together, when possible
  • The core areas of prior districts are kept intact
