Next date: Saturday, February 03, 2024 | 12:00 PM

Orlando will welcome the nation's elite male and female long-distance runners to compete at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in partnership with Orange County, Track Shack Events, the Greater Orlando Sports Commission, USA Track & Field and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee.

These runners will compete on a course through downtown Orlando to qualify to represent Team USA in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

Orlando is proud to be the first city in Florida to host the U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Marathon. Our welcoming and diverse community, weather and a flat and fast course make downtown Orlando an ideal site for athletes to compete at their highest levels. Orlando will be abuzz with energy, cheering on these remarkable athletes as they chase their dreams and strive for a coveted spot on Team USA.

  • The marathon course will run through several neighborhoods and business districts in Orlando, including Central Business District, City District, South Eola, Lake Eola Heights Historic District, Lake Cherokee Historic District, and Thornton Park District. It will then head east to and around The Milk District.
  • There will be designated viewing areas along the route for spectators to watch the marathon. During the event, we anticipate 60,000-100,000 spectators spread throughout the course. You may also view the race live on NBC.
  • The event will begin at 12 p.m. on February 3, 2024 and end at approximately 4 p.m.
  • Streets near and along the route may be closed or have limited vehicle and/or pedestrian access on the day of the event.
  • The course consists of one 2.2- mile loop and three 8-mile loops (see map).

There will be ongoing opportunities between now and the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Marathon to discuss the impacts of this event. This will include details about how to be a part of the Trials and how to prepare for this special event.

Information about watch locations, as well as specific traffic patterns, detours and parking will be shared in the fall.
