Join Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council in paying tribute to our nation's heroes and standing together as a community to honor their service and sacrifice.
On Friday, September 13 at 10:30 a.m. in the City Hall Rotunda at the Orlando City Hall, the community is invited to attend the 2024 POW/MIA Recognition Ceremony to honor United States military prisoners of war and those still missing in action as part of national POW-MIA Day.
Hosted by WKMG News 6, Trooper Steve, this year's event includes special guest speaker, Keith Maupin, father of Matt Maupin the first American soldier to be declared missing in action in the Iraq war.
The ceremony is a tribute to the United States military prisoners of war and those still missing in action, reaffirming the city's commitment to bringing our heroes home and ensuring that they are never forgotten.
Doors open at 10 a.m. with coffee and refreshments available.
