Get a Business Tax Receipt

Are you opening a business in the City of Orlando?

You must pay a tax to operate any business within city limits. A business tax receipt is proof of payment and it is required before a business opens.

Step 1.Check your eligibility

All businesses will be required to obtain a Certificate of Use in conjunction with a Business Tax Receipt. Certificates of Use will not be required for:

  • Individual professionals state regulated within a professional office
  • Residential uses
  • Government uses
  • Temporary uses
  • Mobile businesses
  • Congregate living facilities such as group homes and residential care facilities

Use our zoning check to ensure that you are within city limits and that your business can operate at your location.
