The W. Concord Street project will help reduce opportunities for future problems into the foreseeable future.

On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the City’s Water Reclamation Division will replace previously identified sanitary sewer laterals and repair a gravity sewer line on W. Concord Street. The project area is between N. Madison Avenue and Springdale Road.

We expect to complete the project in two months.

During a planned inspection, Wastewater identified several service laterals that are deficient due to root intrusion and offset joints.  Replacing previously identified service laterals and repairing the gravity sewer line will reduce opportunities for future problems. Upon completion of the project, the road will be resurfaced.

Residents will notice crews and equipment working in the public right-of-way and at times in the roadway. Residents will have access to their driveway and entrances throughout the project. Should an entrance or driveway become temporarily impacted, Water Reclamation Department will work with the homeowner to make accommodations.

Solid waste, recycling, mail and other services will continue as scheduled. Should an emergency occur, first responders will have priority access. Project hours are 7 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Unforeseen circumstances and adverse weather can create delays that increase a project's duration. Should unforeseen circumstances occur, weekend and overnight work may become necessary.
