Weber Street Brick Rehabilitation Project

Last updated on November 12, 2019

The Weber Street brick rehabilitation project will help improve roadway conditions for vehicles traversing the roadway.

Public Works will utilize JMD Global to conduct a brick restoration project on Weber Street near the Park Lake - Highland Neighborhood. The Project area is between N. Magnolia Avenue and Highland Avenue. When the project starts, the contractor will remove existing brick pavers to construct a new foundation for the roadway. Once the construction of the underlying foundation is complete, the roadway will be restored using the original brick pavers.

We expect to complete the project in five weeks.

Once the contractor is mobilized, residents will experience a road closure for through traffic and posted detour signs. Homeowners and businesses along Weber Street will have access to their driveway and entrance throughout the project's duration. Solid waste, recycling, mail, and other services will continue as scheduled. In the event of an emergency, first responders and emergency vehicles will have priority access.

Project hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and overnight work may be necessary for this project. During project hours, residents will notice crews and equipment working in the roadway. It is not uncommon to experience an increase in noise during project hours. Unforeseen circumstances and adverse weather can create delays and increase a project’s duration. Commuters should prepare for delays that may increase commute times.
