Rosalind Avenue Resurfacing Project
Last updated on December 20, 2023
Beginning on January 2, 2024, Middlesex Paving Company will be resurfacing Rosalind Avenue, from Robinson Street to Anderson Street as a part of our Downtown Quick Build Infrastructure Project to address roadway infrastructure, enhance safety and further placemaking.
The work will impact Rosalind Avenue from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for approximately two weeks. Because Rosalind Avenue is a high-traffic area, night work will be utilized. This approach will help minimize disruptions to daytime traffic flow while ensuring that the project progresses as efficiently as possible. Expect lane and/or road closures during these times. Please follow the posted detour signs.
In cases of adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, this timeline could change.
Should an emergency occur, first responders and emergency vehicles will have priority access.
Solid waste, recycling, mail, and other services will continue as scheduled.
About the project: The Quick Build Infrastructure Project will add murals, artistic bulb-outs (or curb extensions) and crosswalks at key intersections along Rosalind Avenue, Orange Avenue and Magnolia Avenue. Additionally, the “green” bike lane along Rosalind Avenue will be improved from Church Street to Concord Street with added separation and “bend-ins” at intersection crosswalks.
