The sanitary sewer force main remove and replace project for Lift Stations 201 and 205 will improve the efficiency of the sewer system while preparing the immediate area for future growth and development.

The City of Orlando has entered into a contract with Carr and Collier Inc to remove and replace an existing sanitary sewer force main system for Lift Stations 201 and 205. Replacing the sanitary systems will modernize an aging sewer system, improve efficiency, and help prepare the area for growth and development.

We anticipate project completion in 10 months. However, unforeseen circumstances and adverse weather can create delays and increase a project's duration.

The impact on City residents will be minimal.  Majority of project work will occur north behind the homes along Little Sound Drive within an open easement located in a vacant lot. There is the possibility of an increase in noise during project hours.

Project hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Currently, there are no plans for the contractor to work weekends or overnight. Solid Waste, recycling, mail, and delivery services will go uninterrupted.
