The Lake Lorna Doone Improvements will transform the park into a space where residents and visitors a like can gather together to connect play and exercise.

The 12-acre park will undergo an $8 million dollar renovation. Improvements will include a walking loop, installation of a fitness station, pavilion, an inclusive playground, two new basketball courts with covered seating and a water spray park. Other improvements include increased parking, new restroom facilities, benches, drinking fountains, a fountain in the lake and a community garden.

Upon completion, Lake Lorna Doone Park will become a signature park in the City of Orlando. We expect to complete the project in 12 months.

The impact on the surrounding neighborhood will be minimal. During construction, the park will be closed and unavailable until project completion. Residents living nearby will notice crews and equipment working in the park. There is a possibility of an increase in noise during project hours. Project Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
