There is potential for an increase in noise during project hours. Project hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The contractor may elect to work on Saturdays should weather, unforeseen circumstances or an opportunity to expedite the project arise. Residents may experience temporary road closures, detours, sidewalk closures and sidewalk detours.
First responders and emergency vehicles will have access to the area, should an emergency occur. The contractor will assist all homeowners and businesses with maintaining reasonable access throughout the project.
Once the project begins, there will be temporary on-street parking restrictions where work will occur. Once the project is complete, there will be a permanent restriction for on-street parking to one-side of the street only.
The city will use this opportunity to correct driveways that do not meet the city’s transportation, engineering and municipal code standards. Those not in compliance have already been notified.
