The new Orlando Tennis Centre will offer improved facilities and tennis courts for tennis players of all skill levels to enjoy.

After accepting a land donation from the Dr. Phillips Charities, a new tennis center will be built within the new Packing District development at Princeton Street and John Young Parkway. HJ High was selected as the design builder with Borrelli + Partners as a designer for the tennis centre improvements. We expect to break ground in Spring of 2020.

We will continue to keep you up to date on any changes as design continues.

The current tennis facility has been in use since 1932. As Creative Village continues to expand around the current Orlando Tennis Centre, the donated land presents an opportunity to create an enhanced facility with an updated clubhouse and newest technology.

Currently, the property is expected to receive a new tennis welcome center - clubhouse that's around 4,000 square feet. The new facility will house a pro shop, meeting space, locker rooms with showers, a maintenance building, and other facilities. The center will have 17 full-sized and lights courts (six hard and eleven clay). The facility is scheduled to open in Summer of 2022.

Other improvements under consideration:

  • walking and biking trails
  • a lake
  • green space
  • pavilion and performance area
  • new dog park
